Homeward Bound- May/August 2002
We flew home form the British Virgin Islands on May 19th, leaving Sulmar to come home by tanker. We collected her from Southampton, UK, on June 6th and then took three attempts to sail home to Troon. Gales had us storm bound in various ports for days on end and our busy chedule meant that we had to leave Sulmar in falmouth and then in Dun laoghaire before finally sailing home mid August. St British Virgin Islands - April 2002
On March 29th, we sailed overnight from Simpson Bay, St Maarten, to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. We are spending 5 weeks crusing the waters around the BVI . Please click here for more news of visit to the British Virgin Islands.
St Martin/St Maarten - March 2002
We sailed from Gustavia, St Barth, to Simpson Bay, St Maarten on March 20th. We planned to spent a few days in Simpson Bay Yacht Club Marina waiting for a weather window to cross the Anegada Passage to Virgin Gorda. Please click here for more news of visit to St Martin/St Maarten.
St Barth - March 2002
We sailed to Gustavia, St Barth, on March 12th and after one extremely rolly night at anchor, we moved onto a buoy in the harbour. We found Gustavia a welcome change after St Kitts and we stayed for several days soaking up the atmosphere. Please click here for more news of visit to St Barth.
Nevis and St Kitts - March 2002
We left Deshaies, Guadeloupe, on March 8th, Robin's Birthday, and sailed to Nevis. We spent two days in Nevis touring the island and going horse racing. We also spent a day in St Kitts, where we visited the famous Brimstone Hill, before sailing on to St Barths. Please click here for more news of our visit to Nevis and St Kitts.
Sailing north to Guadeloupe - February/March 2002
We left Bequia on February 23rd and spent a week working our way north, through the Northern Windwards and Southern Leewards. We arrived in Point a Pitre, Guadeloupe, on 1st March and hired a car to explore the island. A tropical wave moving across the Atlantic has kept us in Guadeloupe for a bit longer than we expected. St Vincent and the Grenadines - February 2002

Orlando - January/February 2002
Having been on board since July last year, we decided to have a break in Orlando, Florida for ten days. We have a fantastic, but exhausting trip covering all four Disney parks, both Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Centre and much more. Please click here for more news of our visit to Orlando.
St Lucia - January 2002
We had a great sail from Sainte Anne, Martinique to Rodney Bay Marina, St Lucia on January 13th. We spent a couple of days working through our maintenance list and exploring the area. We then sailed south to Marigot Bay and the Pitons. Please click here for more news of our visit to St Lucia.
Martinique - January 2002
We left Les Saintes on January 4th and stopped off in Prince Rupert Bay, Dominica, for one night before sailing on to Martinique. We spent a night at anchor at Saint Pierre at the north of Martinique and then sailed south to Fort de France. Guadeloupe - December 2001/January 2002
After three weeks in Antigua, we were happy to be sailing again. We visited Deshaies and Basse Terre in Guadeloupe before moving on to the idyllic islands of Les Saintes for New Year. Please click here for more news of our visit to Guadeloupe.
Antigua - December 2001
We arrived in Jolly Harbour, Antigua on December 6th. We stayed there for 10 days before moving round to Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour for the Christmas Festivities. Please click here for more news of our visit to Antigua.
Sulmar's Atlantic Crossing - November/December 2001
Sulmar left Santa Cruz de Tenerife on November 14th and had a great 21 day crossing of the Atlantic. Please click here for more details of our Atlantic crossing.
Canary Islands - November 2001
We left Gibraltar on October 31st and sailed to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We arrived on November 6th and have enjoyed a week of hospitality at the Real Club Nautico de Tenerife. Please click here for more news of our visit to Tenerife.

Southern Spain - October 2001
We left Vilamoura in Portugal on Saturday 6th October and had a great overnight sail to Rota in the north of Cadiz Bay, Spain. From there we visited Seville. Please click here for more news of our visit to Southern Spain.
Portugal - September 2001
As we were delayed in Bayona for three weeks, our plans for exploring the Portuguese coast had to be curtailed. Gillian took the train down to Lisbon to meet Joe, while to gearbox was being fixed, and Robin joined them in Oporto a week later. Please click here for more news of our visit to Portugal
Northern Spain - August 2001
We left La Rochelle, France, bound for Gijon, Spain, on August 20th. We spent two days in Gijon before sailing on to La Coruna, Camarinas and Bayona. Please click here for more news of our visit to Northern Spain.
France - August 2001
We left Arklow, Ireland, on August 1st bound for France. We stopped at the Scilly Isles for 2 days, to wait out bad weather in the English Channel, and continued our passage to Camaret.
